Frame: Monolithic welded steel frame. The heavy-gauge steel ensures maximum structural rigidity and stability.
Lifting System: Large-diameter cylinders for moving head positioning provide high structural strength, guaranteeing precise working height and thickness control.
Table: The heavy-duty, anti-wear steel worktable provides a stable reference surface, supporting consistent machining accuracy and long-term operational reliability.

Flexibility and productivity

Configurable with up to five internal working units, the machine combines multiple sanding and finishing operations into a single pass, enabling complex processing sequences, including high-gloss surface preparation. A comprehensive range of working units and flexible machine configurations allows the system to be tailored to specific machining processes, surface-finishing requirements, and production needs. Available configurations include, but are not limited to, Cross-Kombi-Superfinishing, Roller-Roller-Roller-Pad, and Roller-X Spin-Brush-Brush-Pad, as well as any other combination required to meet specific application requirements.

Great finishing quality

The patented Low-Pressure Pad technology maintains uniform sanding pressure by adapting to variations in panel thickness. It applies a constant abrasive action to achieve optimum consistent surface quality, preventing over-sanding and compression marks, ensuring a flawless finish, particularly on delicate surfaces and coated panels. This low-pressure technology not only boosts pad performance but also extends abrasive belt life while generating less dust.

Intuitive interface

The icon-based operator interface provides direct access to machine parameters, working-unit settings, and operating functions, simplifying machine setup and process management. Job-specific programs can be quickly stored and recalled, simplifying setup procedures, improving process repeatability and reducing the risk of operator errors. Abrasive belt wear histograms and real-time production statistics provide operators with immediate visibility into machine utilization, maintenance requirements and production performance.

Line integration

With a standard 900 mm pass-line height, Rover Fin Up S easily integrates into automated production lines alongside bottom sanding machines and coating or painting lines, enabling continuous, uninterrupted processing while minimizing manual intervention and handling.

3D panel sanding

Vertical and longitudinal flexible brush units enable accurate sanding of recessed and profiled panels, adapting to complex surface geometries to achieve consistent finishing quality. The combination of both units allows for the efficient processing of routed MDF panels, assembled kitchen doors, standard doors and windows, and profiled parts, whether raw or painted.

Special surface effects

Dedicated machining solutions create customized surface textures, including saw-blade marks, wave patterns, planed effects, random sanding, and aged-wood structures, significantly expanding the range of decorative finishes. The combination of specialized software with targeted accessories on traditional pads and cross-belt units unlocks an unlimited variety of unique visual effects. This enables a standard sanding machine to achieve complex surface finishes that would typically require purpose-built equipment.

Superior heavy-duty removal

The Rover Fin Up S easily handles the heaviest removals, thanks to its sturdy structure, properly sized planer units, and high-performance calibrating rollers. The HPG planer unit is particularly suited for the calibration of blockboard panels, allowing the removal of several millimeters of material in a single pass. Its lateral tool extraction simplifies and speeds up maintenance operations and knife rotation. The segmented infeed pressure shoe, with pneumatic actuation on each section, guarantees constant panel feed and optimum stability during processing, ensuring accurate material removal and uniform processing quality.
