Biesse brings industry into the classroom: Bramante-Genga students build a kitchen for Rodari primary school
18/05/2026

A kitchen designed, manufactured and assembled by students from ITET Bramante-Genga in Pesaro, and destined for the children of Rodari primary school: this is the outcome of a project developed in collaboration with Biesse, with the support of Confartigianato Pesaro e Urbino.

An initiative that enabled students to engage directly with the industrial world through a technical and design-oriented training path

Students from the vocational program “Industry and Craftsmanship for Made in Italy” followed a pathway combining theoretical lessons with hands-on activities in close contact with the production environment.

The project was created to build a tangible link between education and industry, offering students direct experience of sector processes and technologies.

The program developed through several key stages:

  • training on bSolid software

  • hands-on sessions at the Biesse Material Hub in Pesaro

  • working alongside Biesse technicians

  • design and production of the kitchen

Throughout these phases, students applied practical skills in design, processing and manufacturing within the wood-furniture sector.

The completed kitchen has been dedicated to children with disabilities at Rodari primary school.

This aspect gives the initiative a value that goes beyond technical training, contributing concretely to the wellbeing of the community and demonstrating the positive impact of collaboration between school and industry.

Voices from the project

“Inaugurating today the kitchen for the children of Rodari school means seeing the results of a co-design journey that began in 2022 and is rooted in a collaboration with Biesse that we have proudly carried forward since 2019.”
Silvia Pensalfini, Design and Production Teacher – ITET Bramante Genga

“We have always believed in supporting young people, education and the local area. The collaboration with the Bramante-Genga institute demonstrates a concrete commitment to creating an ongoing dialogue between school and industry.”
