Intermac Edge Pro Q 408 is a true batch-one machine, designed to deliver maximum flexibility. Unlike standard double-sided edging machines, it can process glass sheets of varying sizes and thickness consecutively without losing time for adjustments. The repositioning of the heads and the vacuum cup system for piece locking activation is performed seamlessly in hidden time, synchronized with loading and offloading operations, ensuring efficiency and uninterrupted workflow.

The compactness of the solution offers a significant advantage for integrating the machine into a flexible production line. Its overall footprint is much smaller than that of a traditional double-sided edging line, while still effectively processing all four sides of the glass.

With this machine, you can process glass in various sizes up to 2500x4300mm* and thicknesses up to 19mm, all without the need for manual adjustments. Its intelligent design allows for the processing of shaped glass with 3 to 8 sides, making it a versatile polishing system suitable for a wide range of applications (only CM version). Additionally, it enables the automatic application of different finishes on different sides of the same glass. Thanks to its vacuum holding system that secures the glass from the bottom, it is capable of processing low-E glass without problems for the coating. *Subject to variations depending on the shape

Thanks to its independent heads design on separate axes, the machine is not limited to rectangular or square glass.

It can easily process out-of-square pieces and shaped glass with 3 to 8 sides, making it ideal for applications such as balustrades, partition walls, and other custom creations (only CM version).

Thanks to the design of its independent heads, each equipped with 8 wheels, this system delivers an exceptional polishing finish, comparable to that of double-sided edging machines. A fixed bar with rollers provides stable support for the glass at the bottom, while an upper presser ensures additional stability, particularly for thin glass sheets. Together, these supports effectively minimize vibrations during processing. An automatic polishing wheel positioning and wear control system ensures consistent and uniform polishing throughout the entire production process.

A mechanical reference system, integrated directly into the frame of the main conveyor with suction beams, ensures consistent reliability and repeatability in sheet positioning over time. Additionally, two levers positioned beneath the grinding heads verify the dimensions of the workpiece. This combination ensures exceptional accuracy and consistency in processing.

The advanced Human Machine Interface software, designed specifically for flat glass processing, provides operators with a user-friendly and intuitive experience for daily operations. Programming can be performed in three different modes: Manual: Data is entered directly into the Human Machine Interface by the operator. Sequential: Data is received from the previous machine in the production line. Online: Data is sent from the supervisor software. The included CAD-CAM software streamlines programming by enabling the creation of complex geometries and the application of finishing parameters with ease. (only for CM version) Additionally, the system features a statistics and configuration function, allowing operators to monitor machine performance effectively.
