CHARLOTTE, N.C. — September 11, 2026 — Biesse in America welcomed Italian and Italian-connected companies, diplomatic representatives and community leaders to its Charlotte Showroom on August 29 for the third Business Networking Group (BNG) meeting, bringing together members of the Italian business community to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth in the United States.
The Charlotte edition of the BNG provided an opportunity for participating companies to introduce themselves, exchange experiences and perspectives, and explore opportunities for collaboration and continued growth in the U.S. market. The gathering was initiated by H.E. Nico Frandi, Consul General of Italy in Philadelphia, and marked an important opportunity to further strengthen relationships among the Italian business, institutional and cultural communities in North Carolina.
The event was honored by the participation of H.E. Marco Peronaci, Ambassador of Italy to the United States, alongside H.E. Nico Frandi and Valentina Cecchi, Honorary Consul of Italy to North Carolina and representative of Casa della Cultura Italiana – NC.
Another key area of discussion was “The Human Factor: Why Charlotte?”, focusing on the role of workforce, quality of life, cultural integration and community engagement in creating successful, long-term investments.
The discussion concluded by looking at “From Conversation to Action,” with participants considering what additional connections, resources and institutional cooperation could help Italian companies continue to succeed and grow in the United States.
Together, these conversations underscored the value of creating spaces where businesses and institutions can share knowledge, identify common challenges and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Strengthening the Italian Business Community in North Carolina
The Charlotte meeting also marked the beginning of what is intended to be a continuing series of Business Networking Group meetings in North Carolina, organized through the efforts of Casa della Cultura Italiana, under the coordination of the Honorary Consul.
The initiative aims to build upon the relationships established through the BNG and create continued opportunities for Italian businesses, institutions and members of the broader Italian community to connect, exchange knowledge and support one another.
For Biesse in America, hosting the gathering provided an opportunity to welcome members of the Italian business community to its Charlotte facility while contributing to a broader conversation about the role of Italian companies in the economic and business landscape of the Carolinas.
Connecting Through Culture and Community
The formal program concluded with a networking reception, giving attendees the opportunity to continue conversations in an informal setting. The reception featured an hors d'oeuvres-style lunch, wine service and a live performance by Opera Carolina, bringing together business, institutional and cultural elements of the Italian community.
The event reflected the shared value of connection, collaboration and continued investment, both in business and in the communities where Italian companies operate.
