Simeg Marmi: Stone industry and atelier since 1934
06/23/2024

Simeg has been transforming stone materials into bespoke products for indoor and outdoor furnishings since 1934.

The company’s roots go back to working with slabs composed of natural material, and today its traditional expertise in transforming marble and granite has been extended to a broader range of materials, including quartz, sintered stone and large-format ceramics with thicknesses ranging from 3 to 20mm.

The company is currently led by Oliviero Rotini alongside the fourth generation of the family, thereby continuing a tradition of excellence and innovation. Simeg’s work combines artisanal skill and advanced technology.

Its production processes include cutting, smoothing of edges, surface polishing, numerical control production, gluing and finishing. Each stage is managed by highly specialised personnel, ensuring strict quality control that guarantees excellence results. Supporting its production is an in-house carpentry unit which creates wooden packaging to protect each piece during transport. Simeg’s projects are made to measure, seeking to meet each customer’s specific requirements. This personalised approach has led to the company being compared to an atelier or a tailor: as in a tailor’s, customers can touch the different materials with their own hands, comparing the surface finishes and selecting the ideal colour for their project.

Technology has helped Simeg to bypass the traditional limits of an artisan business, significantly boosting its production capacity and ensuring the quality, precision and immediacy of its products. In the past 30 to 40 years, the company has expanded into the furnishings sector, producing kitchen and bathroom surfaces and various custom-made furniture and has found a niche in the boating market where it supplies solutions for large vessels and yachts. Simeg also remains active in the construction sector, especially in prestigious projects such as villas and hotels.

Simeg’s collaboration with Biesse began 15 years ago. Throughout this period, the company has had the opportunity to appreciate the quality of Biesse machinery, the flexibility of its software and the service it offers before, during and after purchase. The partnership has allowed Simeg to maintain and improve its standards of production excellence, further strengthening its status as sector leader.

Technology has helped us to increase our production capacity significantly and guarantee the quality, immediacy and precision of our products.
